This post is a photo story of Kelementina's story. This is a visual representation of the majority of our cases. I hope you are able to immerse yourself into her story. The lack of words is meant to incite organic emotion and thoughts.
Kelementina spent 8 years in an Internally Displaced Persons Camp. When she came home as a widow, her land had become occupied by a group of influential neighbors.
Photos taken by Tamara Hunt and myself.
Kelementina's husband had died 12 years prior to her returning to her land. In this photo, she is pointing to his grave on her property.
Kelementina is standing at her land boundary marking. She asked to take this photo because of how proud she is of her home.
